Job purpose and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Executive, the Accounts Officer’s main duties and responsibilities will include:

Credit / debit control functions
Cash handling
Filing
General accounting and book-keeping duties
Processing invoices and keeping track of expenses
Responsible for bank reconciliations
Keeping an organised filing system, both physical and on network and SharePoint
Performing other general requirements which may arise from time to time

Requirements:

Have at least a pass at “A” level Accounts
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of Accounting software
Be trustworthy, and polite with good communication skills
Be fluent in both verbal and written Maltese and English
Be organised and efficient with attention to detail
Possess a positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm
Similar experience in a previous role is considered an asset
Possess a clean police conduct

The ideal candidate must be a team player, be flexible and able to handle deadlines.

Knowledge of Shireburn Financial Manager and / or XERO accounting package will be considered an asset.
