The town has sweeping views of the sea and the valley below and is home to Sicily’s most famous pastry shop, Maria Grammatico, a must visit. There will be time for souvenir shopping. We then proceed to Trapani, the city of salt and windmills with an elegant and interesting historic city centre. Famous throughout the world for its excellent wine that bears its name, Marsala went down in history for being the city where Garibaldi landed in Sicily for the liberation of southern Italy from the Bourbon domination. We shall visit the much acclaimed Donnafugata winery. This winery is home to a dynamic production facility aimed at excellence. Here we will have the opportunity to savour 4 representative wines from the Donnafugata Collection (extra).
