Thursday 9 April

Meet at the airport at 6.45 a.m. for Air Malta flight to Munich departing at 8.45 a.m. On arrival, transfer by private coach to Wagrain, Austria with a stop by the lake side of Chiemsee. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Friday 10 April

Breakfast followed by a full day optional excursion to Salzburg, the city of Mozart. A town rich in history and embellished with baroque palaces and churches. The old town center, on the banks of the River Salzach sits under the 11th Century protective fortress of Hohensalzburg, which one can visit via an optional funicular ride. Dinner at the hotel (extra)

Saturday 11 April

Full day, optional excursion to the shores of Jagersee, a picturesque lake with crystal clear waters. The high Alps, rocky hills, cliffs, and forests make up the idyllic scenery of this area. We then stop at the village of Bischofhofen for some shopping. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Sunday 12 April

Easter Sunday ! Free time in the morning for those who wish to hear mass. We then take the cable car (extra) to the top of one of Wagrain’s mountains. The excursion will then take us to the town of Zell am See with its beautiful old houses and modern shops. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Monday 13 April

During today’s full day optional excursion, we visit the 17th century Hellbrunn Palace (entrance extra), formerly the summer resort of the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg. We visit its gardens and proceed on a guided tour of the trick fountains. We also make a stop at the Redbull Hangar-7, home of the Flying Bulls, which hosts an impressive collection of Redbull sponsored cars, motorbikes and historic airplanes including Formula1 vehicles. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Tuesday 14 April

Full day optional excursion to Berchtesgaden, a charming little mountain town that sits in one of the most spectacular natural settings in the world. Salt mining in Berchtesgaden has been in uninterrupted operation since 1517. Today we shall enjoy a tour of these salt mines (entrance extra) which includes an underground train ride, a sound and light show detailing the history of the mine, a descent to the lower galleries and a trip across the underground lake. We then proceed to Lake Konigsee, Germany’s deepest and cleanest lake. One can take a boat ride (extra) passing by lazy boathouses, roaring waterfalls, and lofty mountain faces and the breath-taking domes of Saint Bartholoma Church. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Wednesday 15 April

Full day optional excursion to Werfen Castle (entrance extra) surrounded by the Berchtesgaden Alps. The tour of the castle will be followed by the Falcon show where a number of birds of prey show their flying skills. We also visit Hallstatt, an unbelievably spectacular place in a breath-taking mountain setting. It is so spectacular that the Chinese have created a copy of it. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Thursday 16 April

Early breakfast and transfer by coach to the airport of Munich. Air Malta flight departing at 12.10 p.m. and arriving at approximately 2.20 p.m.
