Monday 23 July | Day at Sea

Norway’s fjords are remarkably stunning, such that several have been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list for their ‘outstanding universal value’. With their shores covered by dense forests and marked by waterfalls plunging into the sea, these famous sites are truly breathtaking. On a day like this you will be able to enjoy these treasures.

Tuesday 24 July | Flam, Norway

At the innermost bank of the Aurlandsfjord, surrounded by steep mountains, thundering waterfalls and narrow valleys, one finds the small village of Flåm. There are many ways to take in the majestically beautiful landscape. We highly recommend the Flåm Railway, named the world’s most incredible train journey by Lonely Planet in 2014. The journey takes you from Flåm by the fjord to the top of the mountains, and during the 20-kilometre train ride, you can see rivers cutting through deep ravines, waterfalls cascading down the sides of steep, snow-capped mountains and mountain farms clinging dizzily to steep hillsides. This excursion, amongst others, can be pre-booked through your onboard account prior to departure from Malta. (The ship will dock from 08:00 am till 6:00 pm)

Wednesday 25 July | Stavanger, Norway

Before this port city earned its status as the epicenter of ‘black gold’, it was a shipbuilding and a fish-canning town. Stavanger has managed to hold on to its heritage and soul. We are offering an optional fjord cruise along the stunning nature of the Lysefjord. We will discover the mysterious Vagabond’s Cave and get a taste of the fresh mountain water from the Hengjane waterfall. We will also have the opportunity to experience the famous Pulpit Rock from the fjord! (The ship will dock from 09:00 am till 6:00 pm)

Thursday 26 July | Kristiansand, Norway

Kristiansand is known as the Norwegian Riviera & has earned the nickname ‘Summer City’. This city is the fifth-largest city in Norway but is small enough to be enjoyed on a leisurely walk. The history of Kristiansand spans more than 370 years with many areas embodying this long history. A great way to see Kristiansand is on foot and the main dock is 300m walking distance of town. Else you can opt for one of the Ship’s optional excursions. (The ship will dock from 08:00 am till 5:00 pm)

Friday 27 July | Oslo, Norway

Oslo, Norway’s charming capital city, is a vibrant mix of modern architecture & world-class museums alongside 10th century Viking history. We invite you to join our half day optional excursion around this city during which we will see memorable highlights (from the outside) such as the Royal Palace, Town Hall, the National Theatre and the city’s modern centre of shops and office blocks. We will visit Vigeland Park, to see the world’s largest collection of sculptures executed by one single artist – Gustav Vigeland. We will also make a stop at the Viking Ship Museum (entrance included), whose spectacular exhibits will draw us back to a glorious chapter in Norwegian Maritime history! Price for this excursion will be published later on. (The ship will dock from 08:00 am till 6:00 pm)
