Friday 1 March

Meet at the airport at 9.30am for Air Malta flight to Casablanca at 11.55am. On arrival we shall be met by our local guide and transferred to hotel. Lunch in a local restaurant followed by a city tour of Casablanca.
Dinner at hotel.

Saturday 2 March

After breakfast transfer by coach to Rabat, capital of Morocco for city sightseeing. Visit to the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. We also visit the Meknes known as the Moroccan Versailles. Lunch in a local restaurant followed by tour of the old capital of Morocco, Meknes. We then proceed to the UNESCO sponsored Roman alcohological site of Volubilis. Drive to the town of Fes and check-in at hotel. Dinner at hotel.

Sunday 3 March

A morning guided tour of Fes, followed by a visit to Fes El Bali, a medieval part of the town. Lunch in a local restaurant. We then visit the famous Al-Karaouine Mosque, the world’s first university. To round up the day we visit the leather ‘Souq’ with the oldest tannery.

Monday 4 March

After Breakfast, transfer to the Sahara. The first stop will be in Ifrane, a charming town and ski resort. Lunch in the village of Midelt. Drive through through amazing landscapes of the Ziz valley to reach Erfoud. We continue to Merezouga, the heart of the desert to experience the sunset camel ride at desert camp. Dinner in the desert and overnight in Merzouga.

Tuesday 5 March

After breakfast in the camp you can enjoy an optional 4×4 desert tour. This includes the famous village of Khamlia. In the late morning transfer to Tinghir, a gorgeous 40 kilometer oasis. We stop to view the impressive Todra Gorges, limestone river canyons in the High Atlas Mountains. Lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to Dades; a spectacular drive. Transfer to Ouarzazate, also known as “Morocco’s Hollywood”. Dinner in the hotel.

Wednesday 6 March

Morning visit to Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. We leave Ouarzazate to the impressive fortress of Ait Ben Haddou, immortalized in many films. Transfer to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon city tour of Marrakech, “Paris of the Sahara” as Winston Churchill once described it. At the world famous Jema El Fna Square we shall enjoy a performance of traditional activities by storytellers, snake charmers and peddlers of traditional medicines. Dinner in the hotel.

Thursday 7 March

Enjoy a full day trip to Ouzoud, famous for its 110m high waterfalls. In the vicinity, green valleys, water mills, orchards and a superb circuit of the gorges of the El Abid River (in Arabic, “Slaves’ River”) are found. Lunch at a local restaurant and dinner in the hotel.

Friday 8 March

Breakfast in the hotel, followed by a transfer to Casablanca airport for Air Malta flight at 12.55pm arriving at approximately at 4.55pm.
