Day at Sea  |  Norway’s fjords are remarkably stunning that several have been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for their ‘outstanding universal value’. With their shores covered by dense forests and marked by waterfalls plunging into the sea, these famous sites are truly breathtaking. During a day like this you will be able to enjoy these treasures.

Tuesday 22 August 2017

Flam, Norway   (08:00 am till 6:00 pm)  |  Flam and its surrounding area are a place to stop, gaze and linger.  There are no traffic lights, instead the village has an easy pastoral rhythm.  There are many ways to take in the majestically beautiful landscapes, some designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites and many are easily accessible.  As an optional we are offering The Flam Railway, a masterpiece of engineering, climbing from sea level to 2,800 feet, crossing back and forth over rivers and through tunnels.  At the overwhelming Kjosfossen Waterfall, one can take some beautiful pictures.

Wednesday 23 August 2017

Stavanger, Norway   (09:00 am till 6:00 pm)  |  Before this port city earned its status as the epicenter of ‘black gold’, it was a shipbuilding and fish-canning town.  Fuelled by its wealth, as one of the world’s top energy capitals, it’s now home to top-notch fusion restaurants and a bustling nightlife.  Stavanger has managed to hold on to its heritage and soul.  We are offering an optional fjord cruise to the Lysefjord.  The Lysefjord offers waterfalls, idyllic islands and stunning nature.  We will discover the mysterious Vagabons’ Cave and get a taste of the fresh mountain water from the Hengjane waterfall.  We will also have the opportunity to experience the famous Pulpit Rock from the fjord!

Thursday 24 August 2017

Kristiansand, Norway   (08:00 am till 5:00 pm)  |  Kristiansand is known as the Norwegian Riviera and has earned the nickname ‘Summer City’.  This charming city is the fifth-largest city in Norway but is small enough to be enjoyed on a leisurely walk.  The history of Kristiansand spans more than 370 years with many areas embodying this long history from the stunning Kilden Performing Arts Centre, which opened in 2012, to the Old Town’s timber buildings and houses dating back to the 1700s.  The main dock is 300 metres walking distance of town.

Friday 25 August 2017

Oslo, Norway   (08:00 am till 6:00 pm)  |  Olso, Norway’s charming capital city, is a vibrant mix of modern architecture and world-class museums alongside 10th century Viking history.  The city is framed by the 100-kilometer-long Oslo fjord and surrounded by rolling hills, vast parks and lush forests, which means that the pure pleasures of nature are easily accessible.  We invite you to join our half day optional excursion around this city during which we will see memorable highlights as the Royal Palace, Town Hall, the National Theatre (exterior view) and the city’s modern center of shops and office blocks.  We will visit Vigeland park where we will have the opportunity to see the world’s largest collection of sculptures executed by one single artist – Gustav Vigeland.  We will also make a stop at the Viking Ship Museum, whose spectacular exhibits will draw us back to a glorious chapter in Norwegian Maritime History.
